Rocla Oy, Finland-based material handling company developing, manufacturing and marketing electric forklifts and automation systems, is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Rocla personnel gathered to celebrate both company's anniversary as well as Finland's 100th anniversary to a group photo. Rocla is growing strongly and employs some 400 professionals in R&D, production and automation business with support functions.

The company was founded in June 1942 to manufacture heating devices for warfare needs. After the war the focus changed into warehouse carriages and hand pallet trucks. First electric warehouse truck was designed in 1960s, and first automated guided vehicle was introduced in 1983.

Nowadays Rocla Oy is a part of Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift group, who has appointed Rocla as a global design center. Rocla is responsible for R&D of electric warehouse and counterbalance trucks for the European market as well as automated guided vehicles for the global market. Best user experience in the market is the main design driver for product development.

Analyzing and understanding customer processes and developing them further is what continues to set Rocla apart from the competition. To stay ahead of the competition Rocla is developing a whole new AGV digitalized solution environment, which is purposefully called “Easy AGV”. This will enable the company to provide completely scalable automation solutions for all partners and customers globally.

Due to strong automation business growth Rocla has already recruited several professionals, and is looking for new talents for software development. Please read more:
